Northwest Kidney Centers seeks a Clinical Informatics Data Integrity Specialist to support the Clinical Informatics team in a part-time, hybrid position (Burien, WA).
Shift: Part-time, Monday-Friday, Hybrid.
Purpose
The Senior Registration and Insurance Coordinator (RIC) reports to the Patient Finance Supervisor and is responsible for the most complex technical and data entry tasks in registration such as maintaining patient registration and admission records for all NKC patients, including non-ESRD and visiting patients. This position is responsible for coordinating day-to-day activities with other Northwest Kidney Centers (NKC) personnel; processing patient registrations in the billing system, determining all current insurance and processing referrals, and obtaining authorizations for services. This position has ongoing interactions with the Financial Case Managers and works closely with the Clinical Services Coordinator, the NKC Billing Department, and the NKC Pharmacy.
Duties
1. Data Submission and Integrity
- Responsible for EQRS daily, weekly, monthly, and annual clinical data submissions, troubleshooting, analysis of error patterns, and error corrections and annual reporting.
- Responsible for the annual completion of Form CMS-2744, the End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) Medical Information System ESRD Facility Survey, which provides final totals of all patients and treatments provided by each NKC facility during the prior calendar year and includes important facility and patient demographic information, such as Medicare status, vocational rehabilitation, and facility staff counts.
- Responsible for submission of quality measures for all NKC patients in EQRS for the End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) Quality Incentive Program (QIP), including annual patient assessments and various reporting measures.
- Supports the Clinical Informatics team in tracking patient data, changes in status, and patient movements in internal and external systems.
- Supports the Clinical Informatics team in information gathering and completion of required CMS 2728 and 2746 forms.
- Liaisons and supports clinics with EQRS system data auditing.
- Partners closely with EMR vendor to validate complete and accurate patient data flow from EMR to EQRS to ensure proper treatment and laboratory data submission occurs monthly.
2. Reporting and Documentation
- Prepares summary reports for routine and special projects.
- Creates and updates procedures and other documentation.
- Supports the development of clinical reports and data dashboards by verifying data meets requirements specifications.
3. Support and Service Desk
- Provides backup to department employees.
- Assists Clinical Informatics Team members with triaging Service Desk tickets assigned to CIS department, manages queue of unassigned tickets and resolves tickets assigned to CIS team.
- Responds to inquiries from clinical staff and other interdisciplinary teams to update patient changes in status and demographic information in EMR, EQRS, and billing platforms.
4. Compliance and Projects
- Supports clinical operations with regulatory reporting.
- Participates in projects and process improvement groups.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s High School diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with data integrity in a healthcare setting; Dialysis setting preferred.

- Paid Time Off includes personal time off and 8 Holidays. PTO will accrue bi-weekly and will be pro-rated based on the FTE. The accrual rate will be 7.39 hours each bi-weekly pay period for staff.
