What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coordinator – Foundation (Part-time: 28 hrs/week) position at Northwest Iowa Community College?
DIVISION: Foundation & Alumni Relations Office
SUPERVISOR: Director of College Advancement
BASIC FUNCTION: The Foundation Coordinator will administer the scholarship development, application, and selection processes, assist with special events for the College and its Foundation, and sustain and enhance an active alumni program. The Foundation Coordinator will work with and aid the Director of College Advancement to secure financial resources that support the mission of NCC.
QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED – Bachelor’s degree and knowledge of current software applications.
PREFERRED – Bilingual in English and Spanish Languages, Alum of NCC

2. Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in written word. Must possess the ability to speak in public situations.
3. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
4. Fundraising experience.
5. Knowledge of the community college system, especially of Northwest Iowa Community College.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Expand the focus of the Northwest Iowa Community College Foundation with regards to scholarship, and enhanced fundraising to alumni.
2. Secure monetary and non-monetary resources for the College through fund/friend raising initiatives. Collect and analyze appropriate data to ensure effectiveness.
3. Oversee, develop and produce bi-annual Connections magazine and quarterly E-Connection newsletters.
4. Coordinate the bi-annual scholarship application/selection process.
5. Assist in soliciting donations to the Foundation from current and prospective donors.
6. Assist with implementation of the annual internal and external fundraising campaigns.
7. Lead an active alumni program which would include: building our alumni network, maintaining and
building on the alumni database, continuing to develop a social media platform for enhanced communication, administer the annual Alumni budget, and host alumni specific events and initiatives when necessary.
8. Oversee job placement process for the College. This includes working with area organizations/industry partners to promote available positions to NCC Alumni and current students.
9. Collaborate with other internal stakeholders as necessary to advance mission of the College.
10. Promote the mission of Northwest Iowa Community College and its Foundation in a professional manner.
11. Serve on various College committees and cross-functional teams.
12. Work effectively within a team environment.
13. Participate in professional development activities that support the position.
14. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of College Advancement
WAGE/SALARY RANGE: Dependent on education and experience.
