Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Student Group Coordinator to oversee the activities and student management of Spanish high school students visiting from across Spain. These students will be participating in a three-week exchange program at Commerce High School, beginning August 23rd, 2026. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to support international students as they immerse themselves in American school culture, engage with host families, and participate in organized activities. As a key liaison, you will ensure a safe, structured, and enriching experience for all participants while fostering cross-cultural understanding and student engagement.

- Oversee weekly activities and student schedules with the support and assistance of the Travel Chaperone and NISE Program Manager.
- Supervise the daily activities and overall well-being of Spanish exchange students throughout the three-week program.
- Coordinate student participation in school attendance, cultural activities, and group excursions.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for exchange students and host families.
- Facilitate communication between students, host families, and program leadership to ensure a smooth and positive experience.
- Support student adjustment by providing guidance, addressing concerns, and promoting cultural integration.
- With support and guidance from the Program Manager, organize, plan, and execute group activities that enhance cultural exchange and engagement.
- Monitor student behavior and ensure adherence to program guidelines and expectations.
- Maintain accurate records of student participation, attendance, and any incidents or concerns.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all participants.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with high school students, preferably in an educational or exchange program setting.
- Experience in student supervision, youth programming, or international student services is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and program personnel.
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively to student needs and unexpected situations.
- Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and enthusiasm for working in an international exchange environment.
- Availability for the full duration of the program (three weeks starting August 23rd, 2026).
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
- Must provide proof of insurance.
