Primary Purpose:
Provide application development and technical support for district computer systems and software applications. Design, program, modify, implement, and maintain systems that support the management of business and operational information throughout the district, while ensuring data integrity, privacy, security, and alignment with district requirements and applicable regulations.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of operating systems and software application support
- Knowledge of Student Information Systems (SIS), student enrollment software, and/or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
- Knowledge of data privacy, confidentiality requirements, and security best practices for sensitive district information
- Ability to create and maintain technical documentation, procedural guides, and training materials
- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve software application issues
- Ability to analyze user needs and support effective system-based solutions
- Strong organizational, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform all phases of software development, including analysis, design, testing, implementation, and maintenance.
- Conduct detailed systems analysis to define software and business requirements.
- Ensure developed software solutions meet technical specifications, user needs, and operational requirements.
- Create, maintain, and update training videos, user guides, and other documentation for internal use.
- Serve as software administrator, ensuring system integrity, appropriate access controls, data privacy, and data security in accordance with district standards and applicable regulations.
- Develop, run, and maintain special reports, queries, and data extracts as needed.
- Identify application-related issues, troubleshoot problems, and recommend effective solutions.
- Assist administrative and clerical personnel with major projects and assignments, including the collection, review, editing, and reporting of district data.
- Provide programming-related support for administrative applications, including PEIMS and OCR student and personnel data systems.
- Communicate with administrative and clerical personnel to determine processing needs, clarify requests, develop solutions, and provide technical assistance.
- Coordinate systems-related issues with application vendors, including identifying and resolving program problems, designing system enhancements, and implementing approved enhancements.
- Compile, maintain, and file all physical and electronic reports, records, and other required documentation.
- Ensure the confidentiality, privacy, and secure handling of district data, and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local policies, laws, and regulations governing data use and protection.
- Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy.
- May require occasional in-state and district travel.

Working Conditions:
Ability to maintain emotional control under stress and perform effectively in an environment with frequent interruptions. Requires repetitive hand motions and prolonged use of a computer. Position involves frequent bending, stooping, twisting, pulling, overhead reaching, sitting, and keyboarding. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds to waist height.
Salary : $64,869 - $94,790
