DESKTOP SUPPORT SPECIALIST
Location: West Salem Clinic | 1233 Edgewater St. NW, Salem OR 97304
Job Status: Full-time
Hours: Monday-Thursday, 7am – 6pm
We are hiring a hands-on Desktop Support Specialist who loves to solve problems, support people, and keep devices running smoothly across our sites.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Desktop Support Specialist provides frontline technical support across the organization. This role ensures reliable day-to-day technology operations by supporting staff with hardware, software, and system issues while delivering responsive, high-quality service. The position plays a key role in maintaining the technology systems that support patient care and business operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide in-person and remote technical support to staff across multiple locations.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues for desktops, laptops, printers, phones, and peripherals.
- Manage and resolve help desk tickets with clear communication and timely follow-up
- Install, configure, and maintain end-user devices and applications
- Support meeting technology, including A/V equipment and conferencing tools
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1 year of experience in IT support, help desk, or desktop support role
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical users
- Working knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and basic networking
- Experience with ticketing systems and managing support requests
- Valid Oregon driver’s license and proof of insurance
