Loan Processor – Full Time

Job Description:

Northwest Hills Credit Union is seeking a full-time Loan Processor to support the lending team in reviewing, processing, and closing consumer and real estate loans. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and compliance with credit union policies and state/federal regulations. The Loan Processor will assist in ensuring timely loan decisions, maintain loan documentation, and provide excellent service to members.

Schedule: 38 hours weekly

• Monday–Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Thursday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Review loan applications for accuracy and completeness; collect and verify supporting documentation.
• Assist in the underwriting process by obtaining credit reports, calculating debt-to-income ratios, and preparing files.
• Prepare loan closings, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
• Prepare Loan Estimates and Closing Disclosures for real estate loans.
• Monitor delinquent accounts, prepare notices/letters, make collection calls, and escalate to senior management as required.
• Maintain loan portfolio compliance, including insurance verification and filing claims with CUNA Mutual.
• Process automobile titles, paid note releases, and other collateral-related documentation.
• Support credit card operations, including issuing/reissuing cards, resolving disputes, and balancing daily/monthly reports.
• Prepare reports and documentation for monthly board meetings.
• Maintain required state insurance license and Notary Public appointment.
• Represent the credit union at community, chamber, and league events as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by senior management.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift up to 40 lbs. (coin bags, recycling bins).
