Direct Support Professional (DSP)

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) with NWFI, you’ll spend your days engaging in enjoyable activities like bowling, visiting the zoo, exploring OMSI, playing at arcades, or trying your hand at Top Golf—all while promoting social, communication, and life skills for our clients.

What You’ll Do:

As a DSP, your role will include:

• Providing meaningful companionship and personalized care to clients.
• Assisting with community inclusion by participating in engaging activities and providing safe transportation.
• Supporting independence by encouraging self-care and personal growth.
• May include: Helping with daily living activities such as light household tasks like meal preparation, grocery shopping, errands.
• Promoting life skills, such as tipping etiquette, socializing with peers, and making healthy food choices.
• Ensuring safety and responding to emergencies when necessary.
• Documenting progress and observations about your clients.
• Currently looking for someone with availability on these days/hours: Mondays 10:30-6/7 in Tigard, Tuesday 10:20-2:30 in Beaverton, Wednesday 10:30-2:30 in Tigard, Thursday 10:30-2:30 in Lake Oswego and Fridays 10:30-2:30 in Beaverton. Total hours between 24-28 hours. Clients are located in Washington County (Tigard and Beaverton) and Clackamas County (Lake Oswego). Can increase hours if interested.

What We Offer:

• Pay: $26.00 an hour, plus $0.65 per mile reimbursement for travel with clients. Additional $1/hour for covering shifts when coworkers are out.

Reimbursements (monthly, amounts depend on hours worked):

• Medical/dental coverage (32 hours/week)

Requirements:

• Fully COVID-19 vaccinated (or valid exemption).
• 18 years old.
• Eligible to work in the U.S.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Reliable vehicle and good driving record.
• 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Smartphone proficiency.
• Must maintain HIPAA and confidentially standards.
• Be able to pass State of Oregon Background Check.

Locations:

Clients live in Washington County & Clackamas County.
