Northwest Florida Community Hospital is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Surgical Services team. This position provides nursing care to surgical patients before, during, and after procedures while supporting a safe and efficient operating room environment. Responsibilities
- Provides direct nursing care to patients in the surgical services department.
- Assists with pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative patient care as assigned.
- Monitors patient condition and communicates changes to the surgical team.
- Ensures adherence to sterile technique and infection control standards.
- Collaborates with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and other healthcare team members to support surgical procedures.
- Maintains accurate patient documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Promotes patient safety and quality care in all aspects of surgical services.
- Current Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- BLS certification required.
- ACLS and PALS preferred.
- Previous surgical services or operating room experience preferred.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.
- PRN (as needed) position
- Must be willing to work variable shifts, including days and occasional call coverage if needed.
- Flexibility to assist with surgical schedules based on department needs.
