This position requires daily cleaning and disinfecting of patient rooms, other patient care areas, public use areas and bathrooms. Includes collection and disposal of trash and medical waste, as well as soiled linen. Daily distribution of clean linen to departments is required. General cleaning, such as washing walls, mopping, sweeping and high dusting is also required. Will assist in maintaining personal laundry for SNU residents.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
Reports to work timely. Controls tardies and leaving early.
Follows appropriate dress code, always neat and clean.
Demonstrates attitude of cooperation & professionalism with co-workers, physicians and other staff.
Completes assigned duties within required time frame, according to established schedules or workflow requirements.
Serves as resource to co-workers.
Responds promptly to changes in workload to achieve optimal productivity and efficiency.
Demonstrates knowledge of safety policy and practices safe work habits.
Demonstrates knowledge of Infection Control standards and practices good infection control procedures.
Consistently follows established departmental protocols and procedure.
Willingly performs other duties as assigned.
Maintains assigned work area to acceptable standard, dusting furniture and high areas, washes door frames, walls, fixtures, etc. Wet mops in accordance with standards.
Collects and disposes of trash, medical waste materials as scheduled, and in appropriate manner.
Vacuums carpeted areas as needed to maintain standard of cleanliness acceptable to the facility. Maintains public entrance areas, public bathrooms, replenishing supplies to ensure initial appearance to facility is to standard.
Performs according to protocol when deep cleaning discharge rooms. Inspects cubicle curtains each cleaning to determine cleaning needs.
Experience:
