What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Application Support Analyst I position at Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (NEEA)?
NEEA has a number of traditional enterprise systems and a range of smaller technical solutions that meet specific department, team, or program-area business needs. The IT Application Support Analyst I works with NEEA staff to support and develop effective solutions to meet their needs.
This position will be primarily responsible for supporting Microsoft enterprise applications such as SharePoint Online, Microsoft Power Apps, Microsoft Power Automate and Microsoft Teams. This position will require strong customer service skills, effective task management, organization, and time management skills. This includes meeting with NEEA staff to identify needs, document requirements, develop solutions, and configure, test, and deploy solutions. This resource also helps train and coach NEEA staff on how to most effectively leverage system capabilities.
While the primary focus of this role will be SharePoint-related, the IT Application Support Analyst I will also support, participate in, and potentially lead, other technology and/or process projects. The IT Application Support Analyst I is part of a small cross-functional IT Team that supports the entire organization, and as such, plays a participating role in a wide range of additional IT activities.
This position is based in the Portland, OR metro area, with a hybrid work location. We are looking for candidates who can meet the requirement of working at least 2 days per week onsite at NEEA’s office location. Finalists must have eligibility to work in the US as NEEA is not able to provide VISA sponsorship or have remote work outside of the US.
Salary range: $70,000 - $80,000, exempt
This position has no direct supervisory responsibility but may provide direction to contractors. This position may provide general direction and leadership to staff informally and as part of working groups/teams.

- Provides technical product support to staff.
- Troubleshoots problems, identifies solutions, and resolves technical issues identified.
- Provide formal and ad-hoc instruction and orientation for new staff members as needed and in the resolution of supporting staff.
- Monitor, manage and perform maintenance activities.
- Design and deploy new SharePoint sites, Power Automate workflows and Teams setup.
- Develop effective user-level job-aid and technical reference documentation.
- Help implement, monitor, and enforce IT-related processes, procedures, and practices.
- Assist with other IT activities on an as needed and/or backup basis.
- Participate in IT budgeting process by providing costs and estimates for future IT needs.
- Perform other duties which may be necessary or desirable to support the organization’s success.
- This position is expected to work effectively with all NEEA staff as well as various external contractors.
