Position Summary
The Rewind Apprentice is an entry-level technician responsible for learning and assisting in the disassembly, rewinding, and reassembly of various types of electro-mechanical equipment. This role is designed to provide foundational training and experience in motor rewind processes, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and technical growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Complete required quality assurance procedures for each repair job.
- Assist in rewinding AC/DC motors, coils, armatures, stators, and other electro-mechanical components under supervision.
- Operate specialized equipment for stripping, winding, and testing as trained.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards in all work performed.
- Participate in continued training programs to support technical and professional development.
Required Qualifications
- OSHA 10 certification.
- Internship or hands-on experience in an electromechanical business (e.g., electrician, HVAC, mechanical repair, millwright).
- Mechanical aptitude test score of at least 60%.
- Basic computer knowledge for documentation and diagnostic purposes.
