Description Of Duties/Essential Functions
Under direct supervision, assists with the preparation and serving of food items for individuals served; performs cleaning and maintenance work in the food service area; assists with the stocking of feed items.
Minimum Requirements
Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, speak and follow oral and written English instructions. Requires knowledge of basic weights and measures associated with large scale food preparation. Physical ability to operate and/or use a dish machine, blenders, coffee urns, toasters, microwave ovens, knives, serving utensils, etc., spend 80% to 100% of a work day preparing or serving food and cleaning in an ever changing environment; push/pull carts to transport items; lift and carry up to thirty pounds; perform tasks standing and/or walking 95% of a working day; work in an environment subject to many temperature extremes and humidity variations (including slippery floors), due to walk-in freezers and refrigerators, and no summer air conditioning. Prefer certificate in food service sanitation.
