Details: Position: Secondary Reception Secretary Location: Glen Lake Secondary Office Reports to: Executive Secretary Contract Term: 200 days minimum Wage and Benefits:: $18.00/hr plus full benefits Job Summary: The job of Secondary Reception Secretary was established for the purpose of providing general clerical support within the school, ensuring accurate attendance accounting, providing student support in the health office, and providing/designing district communications, including website updates and digital content. Qualifications: ? High school diploma or general education degree required. ? One year certificate from a college or technical school coursework in business related computer software applications and 3 to 5 years of related experience providing clerical support in an office setting; bookkeeping, and experience with database applications preferred. Responsibilities: ? Greets individuals (students, staff, and parents) entering the office and school as well as phone calls. ? Administers first aid and medication to students under the direction of a health professional ? Performs record keeping and general clerical functions (e.g., daily attendance, proofreading, filing, copying, faxing, etc.) for the purpose of supporting departmental operations. ? Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and the community. ? Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both oral and written form. ? Ability to produce district communications, visually engaging flyers, social media content, and provide timely and engaging website updates. ? Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies. ? Understands the weight of confidentiality related to all school communications of any form. Strongly supports the privacy of staff and students with a complete understanding of Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
