Pharmacy Clerk/Cashier Join a dynamic team and work in the NWCHC pharmacy. Applicants must be detail oriented, enjoy working with the public, be able to work as a team with others in the pharmacy, communicate well and be able to comply with all state and federal pharmacy regulations as well as HIPAA. The pharmacy cashier will support pharmacists and technicians by greeting and checking out customers, restocking supplies, and maintaining an organized front end OTC section. The pharmacy cashier may complete technician functions once trained in specific tasks and appropriately licensed.

- Provide exceptional customer service
- Scan customers’ items through register quickly and correctly
- Process payments operating all aspects of the register, including cash and card transactions, scanners, and counting correct change back to customers
- Thank customers for their business when they leave
- Answer phone calls in a friendly manner and triage calls to pharmacy staff
- Assist with drug inventory
- Assist with stocking and cleaningOTHERS
- Organize and stock pharmaceuticals as directed by Pharmacist.
- Help Customers locate over-the-counter stock.
- Be knowledgeable of products carried in the Department.
- Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
- Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment in accordance with department Sanitation and QA standards.
- Keep floor clear of debris and spills.
- Utilize and maintain equipment as required by department; report any equipment problems immediately.
- Regularly lift, pull, push and rotate merchandise that weights 25 lbs. and that occasionally weights up to 50 lbs.
- Stand at work station for duration of scheduled shift, which may exceed 8 hours per day
- Check prices and be knowledgeable about location of items in the store.
- Complete all applicable department training programs.
- Maintain punctual and regular attendance.
- Work overtime as assigned.
- Work cooperatively with others.
