Description
Northwest Classical Academy seeks a full-time MTSS Coordinator. The MTSS Coordinator oversees the school’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports and reports to the Director of Student Services as a member of the Student Services team. This is an in-person position at Northwest Classical Academy’s Kennesaw campus. This is a 10-month position that starts in July 2026.
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Adhere to the school’s mission and the principles of classical education
- Facilitate the implementation of the MTSS process, which aims to ensure the early identification and intervention for students with academic needs.
- Use data to identify struggling students, monitor progress, and guide decision-making for interventions.
- Coordinate and deliver MTSS interventions and progress monitoring
- Train and support teachers on MTSS procedures and interventions under the guidance of the Director of Student Services
- Schedule and facilitate MTSS meetings with parents, teachers, and other staff members
- Intake Speech and OT referrals, complete initial eligibility for Special Education referral packets, and attend special education eligibility meetings
- Demonstrate professional and ethical practices consistent with school policies in working with students, student records, parents, and colleagues
- Perform other duties as assigned by an appropriate administrator
- Model good judgment, prudence, virtue, self-discipline, and responsibility
Qualified candidates will meet the following requirements:
- A Bachelor's Degree in a related field from a fully accredited college is required.
- Valid teaching certification in Georgia is preferred but not required.
- Previous experience in classical education is preferred but not required.
- Candidates should possess excellent written and oral communication skills.

About Northwest Classical Academy:
Northwest Classical Academy (NCA) is a public charter school located in Kennesaw for grades K-11 for the 2025-2026 school year and K-12 in 2026-2027 and beyond.
