Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging learning environment for students, fostering their academic and social development. This role requires a strong understanding of childhood development, classroom management, and effective teaching strategies to inspire and educate students. Experience in early childhood education is highly valued. The Teacher will work closely with students of various ages, from infants through school age preschool and special education, to support their individual learning needs.
Duties
- Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices.
- Support children’s social-emotional development through behavior management techniques and child welfare practices.
- Adhere to policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress reports, and other documentation as required.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
- Support the Center’s success, partnering with other staff members and leadership to achieve the Center’s goals.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that respects diversity and promotes equity in education.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is essential; preschool or daycare experience is preferred.
- EEC Teacher certification preferred but not required.
- Proven ability to manage classrooms effectively while maintaining a nurturing environment.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and colleagues.
- CPR & First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
- Background in childhood development theories and practices related to toddler care, preschool education, or private school environments is desirable. Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
