What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Diesel Mechanic position at Northwest Carriers, Inc.?
We have an opening for a professional maintenance person to service our heavy haul fleet of tractors, container chassis', and refrigerated trailers. This position provides a competitive wage with full benefit package that includes: vacation, medical, dental, vision, and Retirement plan.
The successful candidate will have a mechanical aptitude with hands on maintenance experience in the trucking or heavy equipment industry. Routine tasks include troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, braking, and mechanical power transmission systems. Periodic lubrication, tire/wheel maintenance, and some welding and fabrication tasks are an integral part of the job. Familiarization with computers and a valid CDL are pluses.
We operate well maintained late model, heavy haul equipment. We are looking for a person who has at least two years’ experience and is interested in growing his/her mechanical skills.
