Job Description
Repair and maintain various types of equipment using strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to maximize performance and minimize downtime based on customer needs. Work independently with little to no supervision while completing repairs in a timely manner.
Inspect equipment to identify and diagnose the cause of malfunctions. Perform repairs as needed to correct issues and restore equipment to proper working condition.
Accurately document and record information daily regarding issues found, diagnostic procedures performed, and repairs completed.
Perform general physical activities requiring full-body movement, including climbing ladders, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and squatting.
Work in environments with exposure to loud noises, dust, fumes, and extreme temperatures.
Maintain a positive attitude and communicate professionally and respectfully with customers and coworkers.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of diesel maintenance experience.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with:
- Brakes
- Wheel seals
- Electrical wiring
- Oil leak diagnosis and repair
- Preventive maintenance
- After-treatment systems
- Understanding of air brake systems.
- Experience servicing and repairing R134a A/C systems.
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
- Basic computer skills required to complete repair orders and review diagnostic information.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- CDL is not required but is a definite plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Excellent attention to detail. Quality workmanship is expected, and employees are responsible for cleaning up after themselves and ensuring repairs are completed correctly the first time.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Reliable attendance and flexibility with work hours based on customer needs.
- Welding experience required. Must be proficient in MIG and TIG welding.
- Must have your own tools. If you're borrowing it, it's time to buy one.

About the Position
This is not fleet maintenance. We regularly take on repairs and projects that many shops are not equipped to handle.
