What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production-Freezer Inventory position at Northwest Berry Co-Op?
We are seeking the ideal candidate for a full time position as the main operator for our cold storage freezer inventory. Would also be expected to help with production in our processing plant.
Operating our cold storage involves running forklift in our freezer while keeping inventory updated, loading trucks that are shipping product in/out.
Helping in the production plant involves: Helping out wherever necessary, It might be driving forklift, running our robot and whatever it takes to help keep things moving smoothly. Candidate must speak, read and write English. Fluency in Spanish is favorable but not necessary. We will provide training in all aspects of the job as needed. Wage will be determined by experience.
Northwest Berry Co-Op is a full-line packer and processor of the finest berries in the Pacific Northwest. We are a farmer-owned Cooperative that turns our growers’ raspberries and blueberries into IQF fruit or high-quality purees. We have a good team of workers and looking forward to adding onto our team. We have some new equipment that we hope to start operating as we get time and the people to start the new projects. We work a lot of hours in the summer but try to get people 1 day a week off during the harvest season if wanted. During the off season we try and work 4 ten hour days and take off Fridays.
