Job Description As a key member of Commercial Strategy and Effectiveness, the Sr. Strategy & Business Analytics Lead will be a partner to Commercial leadership, responsible for driving strategic and tactical initiatives that create growth through delivering analytics, business insights, and decision support. This role owns the strategic and financial analytics for the commercial business and product lifecycle, from defining success metrics and building initiative-specific forecasts to creating the dashboards that track performance for our products and personnel. This role also provides critical support for scenario-based annual planning and addresses ad hoc analytical requests from the commercial teams. The role also partners with finance on monthly and quarterly business reviews, profitability reviews, risks & opportunities, KPIs and metrics that matter to the line, business case support and performance against LOB goals. The role would work directly with commercial leadership to deliver reporting, analytics and insights that contribute to sales performance management, including pipeline, pricing, compensation tracking. The Sr. Strategy & Business Analytics Lead would own capacity models, pricing models, and overall business KPI measurement. Essential Functions Partner with Executives, market leaders, and cross-functional teams to implement tactical and strategic initiatives aimed at improving sales effectiveness and efficiency. Establish and maintain robust data analytics and reporting capabilities to track key performance metrics and provide actionable insights to senior leadership through regular reports and presentations including monthly and quarterly business unit reviews Identify areas for improvement in sales effectiveness, conversion rates, and customer acquisition trends, and support identification of new verticals for expansion. Provide actionable insights to support the success of the commercial bank by analyzing financial, operational, and market data. Own the commercial components of the CRM including process design delivery, dashboards and reporting Maintain data and records for market analysis, competitive information, pricing, capacity modeling and other sales effectiveness metrics. Analyze market segmentation, identify target customer opportunities. Work with HR to provide accurate reporting to drive compensation payouts and compensation plan design Provide ongoing support for Business Case development and post-implementation review Work with Commercial Lines of Businesses to create KPIs and Metrics that Matter to the Team Support the development and documentation for line of businesses strategic plans Work with risk, strategy, IT, and others to lead opportunities related to automation and data driven decision making to improve efficiency Work closely with other Business Partners in Finance, Credit Management, Credit Risk, Risk, IT, HR, etc. as needed Work with Finance to monitor the financial impact of implemented strategies, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints and long-term profitability goals. Ensure compliance with Northwest’s policies and procedures, and Federal/State regulations Navigate Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and software specific to the department to maximize technology tools and gain efficiency Work as part of a team Work with on-site equipment Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related required 6-8 years of Accounting and Finance related work experience preferred 6-8 years of Commercial Banking Experience preferred 6-8 years of Analytics and Reporting preferred 6-8 years of Budgeting and Forecasting preferred Northwest is an equal opportunity employer.
