Duties
- Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics using advanced automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on various vehicle components including engines, transmissions, powertrains, and diesel engines with precision and attention to detail.
- Execute routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, wheel alignments, and fluid replacements to keep vehicles in peak condition.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive service equipment to complete repairs efficiently.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex systems like ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and electronic control modules.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while maintaining high safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair needs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Skills
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair.
- Extensive mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including powertrains, transmissions, electrical systems, and diesel engines.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and understanding automotive electrical diagrams for accurate troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration, wheel alignment equipment, and auto estimating software is highly desirable.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive maintenance tools effectively.
- Knowledge of GM vehicles or similar brands is a plus; familiarity with automotive electrical systems enhances your versatility.
