JOB SUMMARY:
Northwest Autism Center is a state and federally approved nonprofit organization committed to the provision of services and supports to those with autism and neurodevelopmental disabilities. Our organization understands the benefit of an interdisciplinary approach in providing prescribed treatment services to children and youth with complex needs, and is committed to meeting families where they are at in caring for their child. NAC is a member of CASP (Council for Autism Service Providers), and our BHCOE (Behavioral Health Center of Excellence) certification was recently approved for renewal.
Northwest Autism Center is committed to meeting the needs of children and adults where they are. We are frequently asked to provide coaching, consultation, training, and direct treatment in hospitals, schools, and with clients in the DDCS (Developmental Disabilities Community Services) system, DCYF (Department of Children, Youth, and Families as well as other agencies and community settings.
We are looking for an experienced BCBA/LBA interested in responding to the needs of children and adults within these agencies and settings. This position offers an excellent opportunity to participate in the development and implementation of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) programming in multiple settings. Principles of ABA serve as the foundation for training and implementation of current research-based practices and strategies to meet the needs of each client in community, clinical, home and educational settings. Mature interpersonal, communication and collaborative skills are essential in order to work effectively with colleagues, schools, staff, ancillary service providers, parents and caregivers in programming that is both comprehensive and family-centered.
The diversity and scope of this work allows for some flexibility in work hours, and may be seasonal when aligned with local school district contracts. The position is classified as part-time and seasonal, with staffing levels dependent on agency contractual obligations. Additional hours or extended opportunities may be offered based on organizational growth and service expansion.
