Role Description

We are looking for a graveyard dispatcher, hours 8pm-6am with weekend availability.

Alarm Response & Dispatch- 70%

• Dispatching on Fire, Security, Medical, and Life/Safety alarm events 
• Comprehend and evaluate alarm signal events quickly and accurately 
• Relay account/signal information in a complete and informationally dense manner 

Communication & Customer Interaction- 15%

• Processing over-the-phone requests 

Signal Analysis & Reporting-10%

• Review account signal traffic history accurately and quickly 

Additional Cross Department Projects- 5%:

• Support and contribute to special initiatives and collaborative projects across departments, as assigned by leadership

Qualifications

• Flexible and reliable.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask. 
• Professional, positive attitude.
• Ability to adapt to changes in work environment, delays or unexpected events; change approach or method to best fit the situation.
• Ability to maintain composure, keep emotions in check and avoid aggressive behavior, even in very difficult situations.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, including the ability to defuse an upset, angry customer in a calm manner.
• Must possess good decision-making skills, be organized and detail oriented.
• Type at least 25 words per minute
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in dispatch, security, graveyard shift, or a related field is a plus
