OB-GYN Generalist, Rhinebeck, New York and Sharon, Connecticut
Northern Dutchess Hospital of Nuvance Health, proudly joining Northwell Health, located in Rhinebeck, New York, just two hours north of New York City, is seeking an additional generalist OBGYN physician to join our established and growing employed practice. The group currently consists of five board certified physicians and certified nurse midwives with a long-established reputation throughout the region. We are seeking a well-trained and caring OB/GYN who prefers to work in a small-town setting with all of the sophistication of a major medical center. This position will see outpatients at the clinics affiliated with Northern Dutchess Hospital and will share call with 4 physicians at Sharon Hospital in Sharon, CT. The call shifts can be taken from home. There is a 30-minute max requirement for distance when on call. GYN surgery will be performed at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck, NY.

The primary office is located in a suite at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck. A secondary office is located across the Hudson River in the historic city of Kingston in an office shared with primary care. Deliveries are at the The Neugarten Family Birth Center at Northern Dutchess Hospital. The Birthing Center provides a safe, holistic and family-centered birthing experience with advanced medical and surgical offerings. Built on a solid reputation for providing sophisticated maternity care in a homelike setting, the Birthing Center offers moms a single-room birthing experience where she labors, delivers, recovers and stays in one single room with her baby.
Northern Duchess Hospital is a 68-bed acute care, not-for-profit, community hospital. The hospital has an 87,000 square foot pavilion that has advanced clinical care available to the community. The pavilion has spacious, private patient rooms and state-of-the-art surgical suites equipped with minimally invasive technology, including the da Vinci Surgical System.
Sharon Hospital is a 78-bed general hospital located in northwestern Connecticut. The Labor and Delivery room is slow and sees between 150-200 births per year. Sharon Hospital provides a full range of services including bariatric surgery, cardiology services, emergency care, neurosciences, orthopedics, stroke care, surgical services and women’s services.
