Northway Fence is looking for a hardworking, dependable Shop & Yard Assistant to join our team. This is a hands-on position that plays an important role in keeping our shop organized, our crews supplied, and our projects running efficiently.

What You'll Do
- Load and unload trucks with fencing materials and equipment
- Organize, stock, and maintain inventory throughout the shop and yard
- Keep the shop, warehouse, and yard clean, safe, and organized
- Fabricate fence gates and assist with light shop production
- Operate a forklift to move materials and load trucks
- Prepare materials for upcoming jobs
- Receive, inspect, and put away deliveries
- Assist with equipment organization and general shop operations
- Work independently while identifying tasks that need to be completed without constant supervision
- Support the field crews by ensuring materials and equipment are ready each day
What We're Looking For
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Able to work independently and stay productive in a fast-paced environment
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Willing to work flexible hours when needed, including early mornings or staying late to support operations
- Comfortable lifting 50 pounds and working both indoors and outdoors
- Forklift experience is preferred (or willingness to be trained)
- Basic mechanical or fabrication experience is a plus
- Valid driver's license required
- CDL is a plus, or willingness to obtain one
