Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. You will manage reservations, greet guests, and assist with seating arrangements while maintaining a smooth flow of service in the restaurant.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and warmly as they arrive at the restaurant.
- Manage reservations and walk-in guests efficiently to optimize seating arrangements.
- Communicate with the kitchen and wait staff to ensure timely service.
- Assist guests with inquiries regarding menu items, specials, and restaurant policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
- Utilize SpotOn POS system for managing reservations and guest information.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing excellent phone etiquette.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance guest services and overall satisfaction.
Experience
- Previous experience in customer service or food service is preferred, particularly in a restaurant or hotel setting.
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially SpotOn POS, is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and staff alike.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A passion for providing outstanding guest experiences is essential.
