About the Role:

As a Registered Nurse at Northview Health & Living, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to residents with diverse medical needs. Your primary objective will be to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans that promote optimal health outcomes and enhance the quality of life for each resident. You will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care delivery. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and regulatory standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
  • Advanced certifications such as Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) or Geriatric Nursing Certification.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and documentation.
  • Previous experience working in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership or charge nurse experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough nursing assessments and document resident health status accurately.
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans based on resident needs and physician orders.
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and monitor for adverse reactions or changes in condition.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and participate in care conferences.
  • Provide education and emotional support to residents and their families regarding health conditions and care plans.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.
  • Supervise and mentor licensed practical nurses (LPNs), nursing assistants, and other support staff as needed.
