Primary Responsibilities
The Technology Technician will:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for staff, students, and administrators
- Install, configure, maintain, and repair computers, printers, Chromebooks, interactive boards, and other technology equipment
- Assist with setup, imaging, deployment, and inventory of student and staff devices
- Support classroom and office technology systems
- Respond to technology work orders and help desk requests in a timely manner
- Assist with network-connected devices and basic network troubleshooting
- Maintain technology inventory records and documentation
- Support software installations, updates, and user account management
- Assist with cybersecurity practices and device security protocols
- Support district testing technology needs and other instructional technology initiatives
- Travel between schools and departments as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Technology
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma
- Experience troubleshooting computer hardware and software
- Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems, Google Workspace, and educational technology devices
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred:
- Associate degree or technical certifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Experience working in a K-12 educational environment
- Knowledge of networking, device management systems, and Chromebook management
- Experience with PowerSchool, Google Admin Console, or help desk systems
