Medical Receptionist/Call Center, Cardiology

Northtowns Cardiology is looking to hire a Medical Receptionist for our call center.

As a Medical Receptionist, you would be responsible for all clerical components of patient registration, phone calls and check-out processes to ensure efficient operation. The main role we're looking for now would primarily be for inbound and outbound phone calls.

Essential Functions:

• Professional, positive and caring attitude throughout the entire patient encounter.
• Work with and assist a wide range of individuals in a variety of situations.
• Listening to and resolving patient questions, comments and concerns.
• Responsible for all aspects of patient registration.
• Ensure quality and continuity of patient care by accurately completing data entry including
• Proficient in appointment scheduling.
• Collect and record co-pays and deductibles as required for patient visits as well as preparing end of day collection records.
• Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with patients and their family members, team members, supervisors and managers.
• Adhere to and uphold all HIPAA and New York State regulations regarding patient privacy as well as standards of ethics set forth by Northtowns Cardiology.
• All other temporary and/or permanent duties as assigned by the Administrator or Manager.

Qualifications:

• 1-year experience in a medical office preferred, but not required.
• Experience with various insurance carrier processes, including familiarity with patient identification cards, co-pay, and deductible processes.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to professionally communicate orally and in the written form.
• Strong PC, Microsoft, and Medent.
• Must be able to sit for extended periods of time with the ability to maintain concentration and attention to detail.
• 37.5 hour work week.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary starting at $18.50/hour based on experience.
