Job Summary (Essential Functions)
NorthStone Country Club is a private club in Huntersville, NC that features a four-pools aquatic complex including a family pool, an adults-only pool, a gadget pool, and a plunge pool with three water slides.
The Aquatic Facility Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day activities and member experience at the Club’s pool complex. The Supervisor is a hands-on leader who ensures the facilities are clean and in good condition at all times, that all Club rules, regulations, and policies are enforced for both members and staff, and that appropriate safety policies and procedures are followed. The Supervisor directs the activities of the pool gate staff and works directly with the Club’s pool management company staff and lifeguards, as well as the Club’s food and beverage staff, to ensure an exceptional member experience.
This is a part-time seasonal position that is expected to run from Memorial Day to Labor Day, or optionally the last day of school for CMS in the Spring/Summer until the first day back in the fall. Typical working days will be Tuesday through Sunday from approximately 10 AM to 6 PM, and the Club expects to employ two Supervisors during the season to provide scheduling flexibility.
Job Tasks/Duties
- Supervising all activities on the pool deck.
- Enforce club rules of safety and conduct; Ensure adherence to pool rules by all members and their invited guests.
- Monitor and support front gate attendants with member and guest check in.
- Proactively interact with members to ensure their needs are met or exceeded.
- Support food and beverage staff as needed.
- Supervise safe, clean, well-maintained, and appealing club swimming facilities.
- Ensure pool entry, restrooms, and deck area are clean, while managing the pool deck cleaning schedule and performing hourly inspections.
- Communicates effectively and professionally with members, guests, peers, and supervisors.
- Follows pool safety program to provide adequate protection for members and their guests.
- Maintains presence during daily pool operations and special pool events.
- Follows and enforces all NorthStone Counntry Club policies, rules, regulations, and procedures, including emergency procedures.
- Completes incident and accident reports as necessary.
- Performs other appropriate tasks assigned by the management staff.
- Demonstrates attention to detail, safety awareness, and sound judgment.
- Must be able to give directions to front gate staff and members while at the facility.
- Monitoring the activity of members and staff and making decisions to assure safety in the facility.
Education and/or Experience
- 21 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least one year’s experience in the hospitality industry preferred.
