Role Description
NorthStar Recovery Services is seeking a Regional Business Development Manager to support the Orlando, Florida region and surrounding markets within an approximate two-hour radius.
This is a full-time hybrid role for a motivated, relationship-driven professional who is excited about growing NorthStar’s presence across one of Florida’s most active commercial, hospitality, healthcare, education, and real estate markets.
The right candidate will bring energy, initiative, discipline, and a genuine interest in building long-term client relationships. This person should be comfortable getting out into the market, meeting with decision-makers, attending industry events, developing new opportunities, and representing NorthStar with professionalism.
The Regional Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, supporting existing client relationships, and helping NorthStar earn trust before a loss occurs. This role requires a professional who can communicate effectively with executives, facility leaders, risk managers, property owners, brokers, adjusters, consultants, and internal operations teams.
This is not a transactional sales role. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor, helping clients understand their risk, improve readiness, and know who to call when disaster strikes.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop new business opportunities across the Orlando region and surrounding markets within an approximate two-hour radius.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with property owners, facility leaders, risk managers, brokers, consultants, adjusters, and executive decision-makers.
• Represent NorthStar professionally at client meetings, industry events, networking functions, association meetings, and regional business development opportunities.
• Promote NorthStar’s emergency response, disaster recovery, environmental, demolition, reconstruction, and restoration capabilities.
• Help clients understand the value of proactive planning, emergency preparedness, and NorthStar’s Premier Response Program.
• Identify target accounts across commercial real estate, hospitality, healthcare, education, manufacturing, retail, industrial, and public-sector markets.
• Coordinate with operations, estimating, safety, environmental, and leadership teams to support client needs.
• Prepare and support proposals, presentations, client follow-ups, and account development plans.
• Track business development activity, opportunities, and client communication through company CRM tools.
• Stay informed on regional market activity, client needs, industry trends, storm exposure, insurance-related concerns, and competitive positioning.
• Support a team-first culture built on responsiveness, accountability, professionalism, and follow-through.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is highly motivated, organized, personable, and comfortable building relationships with senior-level contacts. They should enjoy being in the market, meeting people, learning the business, and representing a company that responds when clients face serious operational disruption.
This person should be excited about helping grow NorthStar’s presence in Central Florida and the broader Orlando region. They should understand the importance of responsiveness, trust, and follow-up in a relationship-driven business.
The best fit for this role will be someone who is:
• Motivated by long-term relationship building.
• Comfortable pursuing new opportunities.
• Professional in front of executives and operational leaders.
• Organized enough to manage a regional pipeline.
• Curious about disaster recovery, emergency response, construction, environmental services, and commercial property risk.
• Enthusiastic about being part of a national company with strong operational resources.
• Willing to be active in the market, not limited to desk-based sales activity.
Qualifications
• Proven experience in business development, sales, account management, client relations, or a related role.
• Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to develop trust over time.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to identify opportunities, create account strategies, and manage a pipeline.
• Professional confidence when communicating with executives, property leaders, risk managers, and operational teams.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Comfort working independently while staying aligned with a broader team.
• Experience in commercial restoration, disaster recovery, construction, environmental services, insurance, real estate, facilities management, hospitality, healthcare, or related industries is a plus.
• Familiarity with CRM tools and Microsoft Office applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
• Willingness to travel locally throughout the Orlando region and surrounding markets, with occasional travel for company or industry events.
