What are the responsibilities and job description for the Apartment Maintenance Technician position at Northstar Properties /Moore Area?
SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician will maintain and repair the property in areas such as electrical, plumbing, appliance, pool, carpentry, dry walling and exterior.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform routine maintenance of buildings and property
- Complete assigned work order requests from residents
- Complete Make-Ready to prepare vacant units for leasing and move-in’s by following “punch” list.
- Support cost-cutting and expense controls by fixing rather than replacing parts, when possible, not being wasteful with materials and supplies, and practicing the correct use for tools and equipment.
- Assist in maintaining grounds and common areas.
- Complete preventative maintenance on properties by diagnosing the source or cause of the defect or problem, and making repairs in accordance with established policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- On-call time in rotation
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS:
- General knowledge of apartment community processes and procedures
- Familiarity of building systems such as plumbing, electrical and HVAC
- Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed.
- Time management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to follow maintenance schedules
- Work well with the maintenance and leasing team
