Pay & Benefits:
- Hourly Pay: $18–$23/hour (based on experience)
- Weekly Hours: Average of 40–50 hours
- Overtime Pay: Time-and-a-half for hours over 40
- Sign-On Bonus: $2,000 (paid over the first 12 weeks)
- Average Weekly Gross Pay: Approx. $1,140.42 during bonus period

Responsibilities:
Travel to job sites to support environmental projects
- Includes occasional overnight and out-of-state travel
- Transportation via company vehicle or commercial airline
Perform physical labor and operate tools and equipment:- Power tools (drills, grinders, saws)
- Pressure washers
- Landscaping tools (mowers, weed eaters, chainsaws)
- Line jetters and confined space entry equipment
Safely operate vehicles and light machinery:- Pickup trucks (with or without trailers)
- Compact track loaders and mini-excavators
- Record daily work activities using mobile apps or computer software
Qualifications:
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Willingness to travel as needed
- Experience with hand tools and light equipment preferred
- Valid driver’s license required
Job Requirements:
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in construction (civil preferred), environmental remediation, or landscaping fields
- Possession of, or the ability to attain, any of the following: Class A or B CDL with Tanker endorsement; NCDOT Level 1 Erosion Control Installer; confined space entry certification; OSHA 10 or 30 certification
Working Conditions:
- This position requires work outdoors (85%) in all weather conditions
- This position may require working nights and weekends, as determined by project needs
- The Environmental Technician - Gallatin is a full-time position. Work weeks may be 4 days, 10 hours each; 5 days, 8 hours each; or as needed, based on workload and schedule requirements
- Overtime is paid after 40 hours of work is performed in the work week
- Potential exposure to hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals such as pesticides and oily waste; loud noise; extreme heat/cold Essential physical requirements include:
- Sitting (frequently, while driving or operating machinery)
- Climbing (occasionally; steep slopes or ladders)
- Walking (frequently; site visits and field work)
- Stoop, Kneel, Crouch, or Crawl (occasionally; field work such as construction or maintenance activities)
- Talk/Hear (frequently; communicate with customers, employees, and subcontractors)
- See (frequently; conduct safety and compliance inspections)
- Carry/Lift (must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis, and up to 100 pounds occasionally)
