We are looking for a Senior Plant Manager to manage and grow CityServiceValcon’s Plant operations and associated physical assets. This individual will direct our Kalispell Plant location’s employees, operations and facilities in a profitable manner to manage existing business and target, solicit and acquire new prospective accounts; develop, maintain and implement quality control procedures for all business lines from CSV warehouses to customer facilities; provide outstanding service and quality products in a professional and profitable manner with honesty, integrity, teamwork, employee development and excellence in relationships; develop strong teams through leadership by providing meaningful coaching, feedback and training.
About the Position
You’ll report to the Director of Regional Operations in our Kalispell office, focusing on these key responsibilities:
- Manage workflow to determine priorities and ensure appropriate resource allocation.
- Establish a strong working relationship among drivers, service technicians, dispatchers and customer care specialists that is customer focused to drive customer growth.
- Provide leadership consistent with company values by setting clear work expectations, performance goals, and holding employees accountable for their performance.
- Exceed customer expectations on every level by avoiding service failures with proactive strategies and provide products/services that attract customers.
- Communicate and exemplify CityServiceValcon’s commitment to employee and customer engagement; actively works with assigned staff to advance our reputation in the communities in which we operate.
- Maintain financial performance by monitoring product costs, personnel, plant, office, and vehicle expense.
- Implement marketing plans to achieve annual growth objectives.
- Ensure safety policies and procedures are being followed to meet all Federal, State, and CSV standards.
- Communicate and document employee work performance, provide feedback on a timely basis, and fully document all employee relation concerns.
- Interview, hire, and train employees, including periodically riding along with drivers to sign off on performance.
- May perform fuel driver duties on an occasional basis.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, operations management, or related area, or equivalent work experience in operations, logistics and supervision.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience supervising employees.
- Thorough knowledge of business operations for plant locations with a large customer base and multiple product lines.
- Ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization and from diverse backgrounds.
- Class A or B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements or ability to obtain.
- Excellent communication skills.
- General understanding of DOT regulations and employment laws desired.
- Experience in the petroleum industry preferred.
- Willing to travel and work flexible hours.
- Strong computer experience in various programs.
