Emergency Medical Dispatcher

NorthStar EMS Dispatchers answer emergency and non-emergency calls, provide life-saving instructions, and coordinate the fastest, safest EMS response.

What You’ll Do:

·       Take and prioritize medical transport/emergency calls

·       Dispatch appropriate units (ALS, BLS, Fire/Rescue, etc.)

·       Track and communicate with crews in real time

·       Provide clear, calm instructions to callers

·       Keep accurate records and reports

What You Bring:

·       Strong multitasking and decision-making skills

·       Ability to stay calm under pressure

·       Strong typing and computer skills

·       Must pass a drug screen and background check

·       Prior EMS/public safety dispatch experience is a plus

Shift work includes nights, weekends, and emergencies.
