Position Overview
Northstar Educational Consulting Group is seeking knowledgeable, experienced, and dynamic educators to serve as Trainers and Instructional Coaches. This role is ideal for professionals with strong backgrounds in teaching, instructional leadership, and school or district administration who are interested in flexible, contractual opportunities supporting teachers and leaders through high-impact training and coaching.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver high-quality professional development for teachers and school leaders
- Provide instructional coaching and side-by-side support aligned to district and school goals
- Support educators in effective instructional strategies, data-driven instruction, and student engagement
- Model best practices in teaching and learning across content areas
- Collaborate with school and district leaders to improve instructional effectiveness
- Support implementation of standards-based instruction and best practices
- Maintain professionalism, responsiveness, and strong communication with school partners
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or Doctorate in Educational Leadership, Instructional Coaching, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in education, including teaching and/or school/district leadership
- Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Special Education
- Mathematics
- Science
- Reading / Literacy
- Language Arts / ELA
- Experience providing professional development and/or instructional coaching to adults
- Strong facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal skills
