What You'll Do
As an Assistant Teacher, you'll work alongside experienced Lead Teachers to create an engaging classroom where children feel safe, loved, and excited to learn.
Your responsibilities include:
- Support the Lead Teacher in implementing our engaging, research-based curriculum.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Build meaningful relationships with children and their families.
- Encourage children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Supervise and engage children during learning activities, meals, outdoor play, and transitions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom.
- Follow all state licensing regulations and Northstar policies.
- Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and leadership to provide exceptional care and education.
- Help create an environment where every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to learn.

Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English.
- Meet Wisconsin Registry/DHS requirements for an Assistant Teacher (or be willing to obtain the necessary qualifications).
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Must meet all state childcare licensing requirements.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to sit, kneel, bend, and actively engage with children throughout the day.
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors.
