Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Millwork Delivery Driver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting custom millwork products from our shop to various job sites, ensuring timely deliveries and excellent customer service. Your expertise in driving commercial vehicles, handling heavy loads, and navigating route driving will be essential to our success.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles to deliver millwork products to designated locations.
- Load and unload materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling and safety.
- Verify delivery orders, inspect shipments for accuracy, and document all transactions accurately.
- Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle, conducting routine inspections before and after routes.
- Follow designated routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients and install teams with product placement and answering any delivery-related questions.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during routes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, courier, or similar role involving route driving.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with heavy and large vehicles is preferred. CDL is not required.
- Experience operating box trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment; certification is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform physical tasks involving moving materials frequently.
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
