Responsibilities
- Prepare a wide range of deli products including sandwiches, salads, cold cuts, cheeses, and other specialty items with precision and care
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales transactions
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service by assisting with product selection, answering questions, and upselling items to enhance sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the deli area by regularly cleaning surfaces, utensils, and equipment in accordance with food safety regulations
- Manage food inventory levels, restock displays, and monitor expiration dates to ensure freshness and quality
- Support food preparation tasks such as slicing meats and cheeses using proper techniques and safety procedures
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or food service roles within quick service or fast-food restaurants is highly preferred
- Background in culinary arts or kitchen experience enhances your ability to excel in this role
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety standards is essential for maintaining high-quality service
