Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Christian Early Childhood Educators to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental milestones through engaging activities and tailored instruction in a Christ centered environment. This role involves implementing curriculum plans, managing classroom dynamics, and collaborating with families to promote early childhood learning and welfare. Experience with children, classroom management, and early childhood education principles are essential to success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes cognitive, social, emotional, spiritual, and physical development.
- Plan and execute engaging lesson plans incorporating literacy education, math, biblical character education, physical education, and Montessori methods where applicable.
- Manage classroom activities to ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for children of various ages including toddlers and preschoolers.
- Utilize behavior management strategies to support positive conduct and address behavioral challenges effectively.
- Support children with special needs through early intervention techniques and individualized instruction plans.
- Conduct assessments of children's progress using standardized testing methods and document developmental milestones.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and developmental needs.
- Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and safety standards in compliance with childcare regulations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop new educational programs and participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood development and early education trends.
Requirements
- Attendance and involvement in a local church is highly encouraged. Northside Kids Academy is a ministry of Northside Assembly. We strongly believe that in order for educators to pour in the spiritual lives of the children in their care, they must also be poured into as well.
- Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings; preschool or daycare experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, literacy education, math instruction, and Montessori methods is highly desirable.
- Experience working with students requiring special education or early intervention services is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively while fostering a nurturing environment.
- Knowledge of child welfare standards, standardized testing procedures, tutoring techniques, and teaching physical education is advantageous.
