- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster lifelong healthy habits
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and patient safety in compliance with infection control protocols
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality
- Manage infection prevention measures by adhering to strict aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures for dental equipment and tools
Skills
- Proficiency with dental software systems including Eaglesoft for documentation and scheduling
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and general dentistry procedures
- Ability to assess patient needs through thorough patient assessment and documentation review
- Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control standards, including HIPAA compliance management
- Excellent client communication skills to educate patients effectively while maintaining professionalism and empathy
