As a Service Writer you will work daily with customers providing estimates and customer service as well as ensure efficient operations. We are seeking an Energetic, Self-Starting, Hard worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, computer skills and a passion for assisting customers. This role involves providing customer service, estimating needed repairs and sales, providing support to technicians, managing parts and inventory, data entry, preparing paperwork, .

Duties

• Ability to use multiple computer programs simultaneously
• Provide information about products and services including estimates to customers
• Manage the daily operations of the parts department, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of parts orders.
• Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking automotive parts.
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their vehicle's needs and inquiries.
• Collaborate with service technicians to identify necessary parts for repairs and maintenance.
• Utilize auto estimating software to accurately assess parts requirements for various automotive services.
• Maintain accurate records of sales transactions, cash handling, and inventory levels.
• Proficiency in data entry and computer systems
• Answer incoming customer calls and emails promptly and professionally.
• Excellent phone etiquette and active listening skills
• Develop relationships with suppliers to negotiate pricing and ensure timely delivery of parts.
• Monitor industry trends to stay informed about new products and technologies in the automotive sector.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure excellent service delivery

Experience

• Proven experience in automotive service is preferred.
• Strong background in customer service within the automotive industry.
• Familiarity with automotive sales processes and effective communication skills.
• Experience with automotive diagnostics and service writing is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures is essential.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• Detail oriented
• Good retention skills
