Position Highlights:

• Position: Patient Support Assistant, Oncology
• Location: Glenbrook Hospital - Glenview, IL
• Full Time | 40 hours/week
• Hours: Shifts will rotate Monday-Thursday, between 6:45am-3:15pm, 7am-3:30pm, 8:30am-5pm, 9am-5:30pm, 9:30am-6pm, and Fridays between 6:45am-3:15pm, 7am-3:30pm, 8am-4:30pm and 8:30am-5pm (MUST BE FLEXIBLE with SCHEDULE)
• Required Travel: Coverage in our Highland Park and Evanston locations as needed.

Summary:

• As a Patient Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our patients.
• You will work collaboratively with nurses and other healthcare staff to provide essential non-clinical support, maintain a clean and organized patient environment, and assistant with various patient care tasks.

What you will do:

• Answer phones
• Schedule appointments
• Collect co-payments
• Complete patient registration
• Provide other administrative support to the physician practice
• Check in and check out patients
• Verify insurances

What you will need:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent, required.
• Experience: One year of related experience is required; previous administrative experience working in a medical office is preferred; Insurance knowledge preferred
• Skills: Minimum typing speed of 20 words per minute required
