Travel Nurse - Registered Nurse - NICU

Role: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing specialized care to critically ill and premature neonates in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities Include

• Assessing and monitoring neonatal patients, identifying changes, and documenting conditions
• Administering medications and treatments following neonatal nursing protocols
• Performing neonatal assessments and managing advanced NICU equipment such as ventilators and infusion pumps
• Assisting with life-saving procedures including intubation and line placement
• Educating and supporting families on neonatal care and developmental needs
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Ensuring infection control and safety protocols are followed
• Preparing equipment and assisting physicians during examinations and procedures
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• At least one year of recent NICU experience
• Valid RN license and current BLS and NRP certifications
• Preferred: Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing Certification (RNC-NIC), PALS or ENPC
• Critical thinking, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to move and operate equipment, and sensory acuity
• Ability to work under pressure, follow instructions, and collaborate effectively
