Role: Registered Nurse in ICU Step Down unit

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient conditions and monitor ongoing status
  • Administer medications and titrate drips according to protocols
  • Monitor telemetry and interpret clinical data
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
  • Educate patients and families about care plans
  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold safety standards
  • Support infection control procedures
  • Precept and mentor newer nursing staff
  • Contribute to a compassionate, team-oriented, and learning-focused environment

Qualifications & Skills

  • Current valid Registered Nurse license
  • Experience or knowledge in high-acuity, step-down care settings
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Commitment to patient education and safety standards
