- Assessing emergency situations and determining appropriate actions using advanced protocols.
- Providing advanced medical care with equipment such as defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen, suction devices, and IV therapy.
- Communicating compassionately with patients and their loved ones to provide reassurance and information.
- Leading scene management and working collaboratively with healthcare and public safety teams.
- Utilizing triage skills for efficient call handling and ensuring patient safety according to protocols.
- Transporting patients by driving ambulances, supporting map reading to optimize response times, and coordinating with dispatchers.
- Participating in community outreach to promote positive community relations.
- Maintaining communication with healthcare facilities to meet their needs and reporting interactions accordingly.
- High school diploma or GED; advanced education preferred.
- Current Montana Paramedic Certification or application pending.
- National Registry certification.
- Valid State Driver’s License and compliant driving record.
- Current BCLS, ACLS, PALS or PEPP, BTLS certifications.
- Ability to pass drug, background, and physical agility screenings.
