Key Responsibilities
- Assess, treat, and educate patients to improve or restore function and relieve pain.
- Communicate regularly with patients and caregivers about the care plan.
- Provide skilled therapy services and ensure patient safety during treatments.
- Report patient progress and any changes to supervisors and physicians.
- Educate patients and families on the use of prosthetic, orthotic, and assistive devices.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members on patient care plans.
- Plan for discharge, prepare instructions, and communicate discharge details.
- Maintain documentation, records, and ensure confidentiality of patient information.
- Participate in ongoing education and adhere to professional standards.
- React productively to change and perform additional assigned duties.
- Graduation from an accredited PTA program.
- Current, unrestricted state licensure as a PTA.
- Valid CPR certification.
- Preferred experience in home health therapy and OASIS documentation.
