Summary of Primary Functions
The Card Services Lead is responsible for supporting the daily operations of NGFCU’s debit and credit card programs, ensuring accuracy, member satisfaction, and compliance with internal policies and industry regulations. This role serves as the primary resource for team support, escalations, system expertise, and workflow coordination across card servicing, fraud monitoring, and dispute processes. The Card Services Lead supports process improvements, vendor relationships, and system enhancements while helping guide and coach the Card Services team.
Skills and Abilities
High school graduate or equivalent. At least five years of experience within a financial institution must be knowledgeable in Credit Union policies and procedures. General knowledge of computer data base system and some Microsoft Windows. Effective communication and organizational skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist members with basic and routine inquiries relating to Visa Debit/ATM transactions
- Process & open new Visa Debit/ATM card accounts, blocking lost/stolen cards, pin & duplicate card orders & card ordering, payments, monthly re-issues, reporting of lost/stolen cards, billing errors, etc.
- Verify accuracy of member data relating to card re-ordering and new account set-up
- Process changes related to Visa Debit/ATM card accounts
- Interface daily with members and third parties regarding account discrepancies
- Prepare and process plastic card status to Fiserv system via authorization center
- Handle all Courtesy Pay accounts that are eligible for overdraft services. Mailing
- out letters, suspend services, fee reversals & payment arrangements
- Participate in ongoing CUES training
- Provide support in various areas as needed
- Provide guidance, coaching, and subject-matter expertise to Card Services staff.
- Assist in training new employees on systems, workflows, and procedures.
- Help assign and balance workload to ensure service level expectations are met.

Compensation and Job Title is commensurate with experience and may fall under the following pay ranges:
Card Services Lead- $29.20/hr to $40.88/hr
