NorthRock’s internship program attracts top undergraduate students seeking meaningful exposure to the Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) industry. Over the course of 12 weeks, interns gain hands-on experience, contribute to impactful projects, and engage directly with leaders and professionals across the firm.

We are currently looking for an intern to join our Marketing & Brand team who can start in the Spring and continue throughout the Summer of 2026. Due to the nature of internship responsibilities, this person must be located in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, as this internship requires an in-office presence at our downtown Minneapolis office location.
About the Role
The Marketing & Brand Intern supports the day-to-day operations and initiatives of the Marketing & Brand team. You’ll gain meaningful exposure to marketing strategy, event planning, creative development, and internal communications, all within the financial services industry. This internship is designed to provide real-world experience and professional growth in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
What You Will Do
- Assist with project management tasks, ensuring timely execution of Marketing & Brand initiatives
- Support internal and external event planning, including logistics and post-event follow-up
- Contribute to creative efforts such as content writing, design updates, and social media scheduling
- Capture media content to support storytelling and brand visibility
- Provide marketing and communications support for Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
- Compile and prepare monthly and quarterly marketing reports
- Conduct research on marketing trends and best practices relevant to the financial services industry
What You Bring
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field (sophomore, junior, or senior level)
- Strong organizational abilities with the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A proactive, self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated interest in marketing and/or the financial services industry
- Prior internship experience is a plus but not required
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Successful completion of a credit and criminal background check is required
Compensation & Benefits
The hourly rate for this role is $20.00 per hour. This role is also eligible for Employee Sick & Safe Time (ESST). For more details on ESST, visit the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry's website.
