The Role
We’re looking for a strategic and analytical professional to join our Corporate Development team. In this role, you’ll support the sourcing, evaluation, execution, and integration of acquisitions and strategic growth initiatives across the firm. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and is known for financial rigor and the ability to communicate complex insights clearly to diverse stakeholders.
What You’ll Do
- Source, nurture, and advance advisors and advisor practices through NorthRock’s inorganic growth pipeline
- Distill Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs) and prepare executive summaries to support deal selection
- Lead the creation of Contribution-Based Analyses (CBAs) in partnership with Finance to assess value and strategic alignment
- Research acquisition targets, monitor industry trends, and analyze the competitive landscape
- Lead and support cross-functional due diligence efforts, reviewing financials, contracts, and operational data
- Assist in deal structuring, coordination with legal and financial advisors, and preparation of term sheets and closing materials
- Build early relationships with acquisition targets and next-generation leaders to support cultural alignment
- Prepare deal summaries, presentations, and updates for senior leadership and key stakeholders
- Partner with internal teams post-close to support integration and value realization
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, private equity, or wealth management
- Strong financial modeling and valuation expertise (Excel and PowerPoint proficiency required)
- Deep understanding of the M&A lifecycle, including sourcing, diligence, structuring, and integration
- Experience working in or closely with the financial advisory or wealth management space
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to operate with urgency in a fast-paced environment
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Successful completion of a credit and criminal background check is required
Compensation & Benefits
The estimated base salary range for this role is $209,000 – $287,000 per year. Base salaries are determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. Many roles are also eligible for variable pay such as bonuses, commissions, and/or long-term incentives.
